Jake von Julich is a beautiful 3 year old German Shepherd.  Is "gorgeous" enough of a word to describe this classic boy? Handsome Jake was literally pulled out of line in the euthanasia room at a high-kill shelter, rescued by volunteers who pooled their money to save him. He was transported by car from the shelter to our rescue facility and our volunteers just raved about how polite a passenger he is.  On his first day at the rescue, he was put in a doggie play group and fit in well with his fellow canines. He met a cat and was respectful but we will give him another cat test if felines reside in his new home.  Jake is a dream to walk, not at all reactive to other dogs while on leash. He has a medium energy level and would be happiest just hanging out with his person. Our professional trainer described Jake as "a gentleman through and though and very good natured.
